A class at the Hardin County Public Library is teaching residents to let their fingers do the talking.
The main branch in Elizabethtown is offering its second American Sign Language class after the first drew one of the highest levels of interest seen in adult programming.
The first class took place in November and 55 people signed up. Usually, about half of the people who register actually come to a class, and 27 attended the first part of the lessons.
