The statistics bear it out. The local Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Hardin and LaRue counties, holds the No. 1 spot in personal income growth from 2009 to 2010.

In fact, the Elizabethtown MSA was the only region in the country to experience double-digit growth at 10.1 percent.
