Cowser named new clinical director

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System announces the addition of Jim C. Cowser, LCSW, ICADC, ICCDP-D, to the staff as its new Director of Clinical Services.

A native of Tennessee, Cowser is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee-Martin and completed his Master of Science in social work at the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville. Cowser comes to LTBHS with years of diverse and extensive psychiatric experience, including residential care, juvenile social services, chemical dependency treatment and individual and family counseling.

Cowser is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Social Work, the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, the Pennsylvania Certification Board of Mental Health and he is a Certified ARISE Interventionist and National Trainer for the Association of ARISE Interventionists based in Boulder, Colo.
