Lt. Col. Jim Crider returned to Fort Riley, Kan., in April after a 15-month deployment to Baghdad, Iraq. While deployed there he served as commander of the First Squadron Fourth Cavalry Regiment centrally located in the East Rashid District and Doura Market. He is pictured with his parents, Doug and Kay Hancock of Hopkinsville; Jackie and Carol Dupin of Elizabethtown; his son, Jack, and wife, Jill Sanders Crider of Elizabethtown. Lt. Col. Crider is scheduled to attend the Army War College as a Military Fellow beginning this summer at the Center for New American Security in Washington, D.C.
