More than 50,000 Windstream customers temporarily were unable to call 911 Monday night after two fiber-optic cables and copper wiring were damaged in Elizabethtown.
Hardin County E-911 Director Bob Hammonds said the agency’s primary communications went down around 8:45 p.m. Monday.
