ELIZABETHTOWN — Dana Corp., which has been planning layoffs at its local factory since at least the middle of the month, on Friday announced deeper cuts than earlier reported.
Instead of the roughly 200 temporary layoffs the company planned, 286 employees will be dismissed indefinitely.
The plant makes frames for SUVs and large pickups, sales of which have slackened because of high gasoline prices.
