The first Thursday of the month usually is reserved in this column for “One of Hardin County’s Finest Cooks,” and it will return next month. But, today, I want to share with you a story about another fine cook who lives in Wisconsin.
I have met many wonderful people while writing this column, but one of the most interesting incidents has helped me make a new friend from a very long distance away. Her name is LeAnn Ralph. She is a third-generation Norwegian immigrant and that rings true in many of her recipes. Both sets of her grandparents settled in Wisconsin.
