By NORA SWEAT, columnist Here we are at the end of August, which pretty much means we are at the end of summer. This has been an interesting summer for me as I had a five-hour back surgery at the end of June. I came through the surgery with great results, thanks to Dr. Thad Jackson, our new neurosurgeon in town and the wonderful nurses on”2-North” at Hardin Memorial. A few people brought food to the house to help Mike out with meal planning.
