Residents interested in Saturday’s Heart Fair at Hardin Memorial Hospital need to pre-register for a lipid profile by end of business today. The profile, which includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglyceride and glucose checks, is free to the public.
The fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday inside the fifth-floor auditorium of the hospital. There is no cost.
Information on heart-healthy nutrition, disease and weight management, stroke prevention, cardiac catheterization, diabetes and fitness will be featured. Health care providers from cardiology and primary care are available to meet with visitors.
The fair recognizes American Heart Month and focuses on the American Heart Association’s simple seven measures for life: Get active, control cholesterol, eat better, manage blood pressure, lose weight, reduce blood sugar and stop smoking.
To pre-register for a lipid profile, go to to www.hmh.net or call (270) 706-1250.
