Blondenia S. ‘Bonnie Lee’ Doolittle

Blondenia S. “Bonnie Lee”  Doolittle, 90, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday Dec. 14, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

She was retired from Dupont Chemical in Louisville and was a past member of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Doolittle; her parents, Lynn and Vera Knight Sullivan; two brothers, W. H. Sullivan and David Sullivan; and one sister, Mildred Talley.

She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Dixie (Dennie) Milby,  Lynn (Teressa) Sullivan, Alleese (Ken) Miller, Larry (Angela) Talley, Suzanne (Tim) Edwards, Dusty (Sherri) Sullivan, Michael (Diana) Sullivan and Tommy (Debbie) Sullivan.

The funeral is at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton with the Rev. Dusty Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in The East Cemetery in Leavenworth, Ind.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mike Loyall

Mike Loyall, 52, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hodgenville, a brick mason for more than 30 years, and owner and operator of Loyall and Sons Masonry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Shirley Jackson Loyall.

He is survived by his wife, Daphne Strickland Loyall; six sons, Nathan (Sarah) Graham of Buffalo and Jonathan (Patsy) Graham, Chris (Samantha) Loyall, Zach (Detra) Loyall, Cassidy “Boy” (Amy) Loyall and Toby (Ali) Loyall, all of Hodgenville; his four grandchildren, Daisy Graham, Taylor Loyall, Brooklyn Loyall and one due in June; a sister, Rhonda (Jim) Pollard of Texas; a brother, Darrell Loyall of Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with Father Mike Tobin officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. today with a service of remembrance at 7 p.m., conducted by his son, Johnny Graham, and continues from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.

Leslie Paul McConnell

Leslie Paul McConnell died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at a Hospice Center in Houston.

Survivors include three sons, Steve McConnell, Dave McConnell and Shawn McConnell.

He was cremated by the Neptune Society of Houston and will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C. in February.

Howard McElroy Sr.

Howard McElroy Sr., 82, of Vine Grove, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010.

Arrangements are incomplete at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff.

Keith Harold Ogren

Keith Harold Ogren, 58, of Vine Grove, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at his home.

He is survived by four brothers, Russell, Steven, Charles and Randy Ogren; and a sister, Karen Morris.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Padgett Vandiver

Virginia Padgett Vandiver, 86, of Muldraugh, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation in Radcliff.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Ashford and Sharon Berry; and a son, Leo Padgett.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg with burial in Parr-Frans Cemetery in Battletown.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
