What’s fair for the goose
I read in the paper that President Barack Obama called for a two-year freeze in federal pay; I thought, as a federal employee, I could give that up if it means doing my part to get the U.S. back on track financially.
Then I read that the freeze would not affect postal workers, defense contractors, federal judges or members of Congress. Huh, why not? What kind of message is that sending? You can impose a pay cut on me but you won’t do the same for yourself?
