Irene Cravens Irene Cravens, 91, of Radcliff, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold V. Cravens, four brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Basham and her husband, Louis, of Vine Grove, and Dorothy Davis of Radcliff; a son, Harold Miller and his wife, Lois, of Vine Grove; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, with the Rev. James Royalty officiating. Burial will be in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and begins at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Heather Mae Finney
Heather Mae Finney, 36, of Vine Grove, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at University Hospital in Louisville.
Heather was an active soccer mom who enjoyed being with her children and watching them play soccer.
Survivors include her husband, Josh Finney of Vine Grove; four sons, Matthew Finney, Austin Finney, Kyle Finney and Jeremy Finney, all of Vine Grove; parents, Robert Carter and his wife, Karen, of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Lou Day and her husband, Tim, of Deatsville, Ala.; three brothers, Billy Tatum of Deatsville, Ala., Bobby Carter of Payson, Utah, and Patrick Carter of Spanish Fork, Utah; three sisters, Shannon Clark and her husband, Brian, of Caneyville, Casey Pearce and her husband, Chandler, of Chandler, Ariz., and Misty Daugherty and her husband, Freddy, of Spanish Fork, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove, with Pastor James E. Clark Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Vine Grove Cemetery.
Visitation begins after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Larry P. Gatewood
Larry P. Gatewood, 80, of Irvington, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Gatewood, and two children, Gail Clark and Mark Gatewood.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, followed by a private family committal service at Big Spring Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Walter Lee Heibert
Walter Lee Heibert, 74, of Brandenburg, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Heibert; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Hager and Karen Denise McNeley; and two sons, Richard Dean Heibert and Russell David Heibert.
The funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Apostle Church in Brandenburg with burial in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and continues at 8 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg.


Ida Bell Kitterman
Ida Bell Kitterman, 62, of Radcliff, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Kitterman.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby J. Kitterman Sr. and his fiancée, Ginger Roberts of Radcliff, and Michael Kitterman and his wife Julie of Radcliff; five granddaughters; three grandsons; three brothers, Robert Wise of Radcliff, Ronny Wise of Leitchfield and John Wise of Mount Washington.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. Cremation was chosen by the family.

Cyrus W. Mitchell
Cyrus W. Mitchell, 82, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Sophie, W.Va., was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a Korean and Vietnam War Army veteran.  He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, a member of the VFW and retired ten years ago from the Hardin County Road Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley W. and Ossie Belle Shumate Mitchell; three brothers and one sister; and a grandchild, Michael Douglas Mitchell.
 Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruth Phipps Mitchell; one son, Douglas Eric (Marie) Mitchell of Hodgenville; one daughter, Nona Melissa (Jack) Rickett of Cave City; three brothers, Charlie Mitchell and Gayle Mitchell, both of Troutdale, Va. and Dale Mitchell of Emory, Va.; one sister, June Osborne of Sugar Grove, Va., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Leon Chambers officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Maynard U. Parker
Maynard U. Parker, 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Woodland Terrace Healthcare Center in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. William and Minnie Parker; a brother, the Rev. Marion Parker; and a son, Robert Allen Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Parker of Elizabethtown; one son, Darryl Parker of Henderson, Nev.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His body was donated to the University of Louisville Medical Center for research for possible future cures to diabetes and other diseases.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

William G. "Bill" Ross Jr. 71, of Hodgenville, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at his residence.

Herschel Donald Ruth
Herschel Donald Ruth, 59, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Lowrance Ruth, and two daughters, Rachel Dobson and Roxanne Ruth.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Brother Charles "Abb" Stanton
Brother Charles "Abb" Stanton, 75, of Upton, died Dec. 3, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 2, 1935. He was called to preach in Oct. 1959 and pastured numerous churches. He was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Upton Masonic Lodge and a retired self-employed carpet installer.
He was preceded by his parents, Lawrence F. and Eula L. Williams Stanton, a daughter, Brenda Kay Stanton, and three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, May Donna Stanton of Upton; two sons, Terry (Kenetha) Stanton of Upton, and Allen (Tracey) Stanton of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Donna Renee Stanton of Elizabethtown; a brother, Conroy Stanton of Leitchfield; two sisters, Sue Constant of Elizabethtown, and Winona Hawkins of Clarkson; two grandsons, Adam (Sarah) and T.C. (Laura) Stanton, both of Upton; four granddaughters, Brooke (Brian) Goff and Ashley (Mike) Fulkerson, both of Sonora, and Alanna and Whitney Stanton, both of Elizabethtown; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. CST Tuesday at Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church with Brothers Hank Gibson and Terry Priddy officiating. Burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson. It will continue at 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. There are Masonic services at 7 p.m. Monday.

Dave D. Strausser Sr.
Dave D. Strausser Sr., 64, of Hodgenville, died, Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Strausser, two daughters, Bonnie Brown and Susan Pollock, and a son, David Strausser Jr.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mount Tabor Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
