Russell Allgood
Russell Allgood, 66, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his residence.
Arrangements are incomplete at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Roy Wayne Clem
Roy Wayne Clem, 69, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, in Port Orange, Fla.
Wayne was a retiree of Ford Motor Co. Truck Plant, a member of Okolona Church of Christ and a member of UAW862.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Jeanette “Davis” Clem; a daughter, Tammy Plamp; a son, Michael Clem (Kristy); his mother, Emma Clem; a brother, David Clem; a sister, Dorothy Fox (Charles); five granddaughters; two great-grandsons and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) in Shepherdsville with burial in Brookland Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Maude T. Meers
Maude T. Meers, 105, of Upton, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville.
Arrangements are incomplete at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton.

Chester Eugene ‘Whittie’ Price
Chester Eugene “Whittie” Price, 84, of Louisville passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010.
He retired from Fawcett-Dearing Printing Press, Teamsters Local Union 89 and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Jean Price, and his parents, Felix and Sara Weigler Price.
Survivors include a son, Tony Price; two sisters, Opal Knight and Hazel Giles; two grandchildren, Jason Price and Tara Pryor; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Pryor, Katelynn Pryor, Alexander Pryor, Austin Price and Emma Price.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ronnie L. Proffitt, 77, of Vine Grove, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his residence.

William G. ‘Bill’ Ross Jr.
William G. “Bill” Ross Jr., 71, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Ross was a member of Hodgenville United Methodist Church, a volunteer firefighter for Hardin, LaRue and McLean counties, an employee of E-town Paving/Scotty’s Contracting and Paving, an avid camper, a faithful University of Kentucky Wildcats fan and first and foremost a loving husband, father and brother.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, William G. Ross Sr. and Anna Sue Cox Ross; a brother, James Ross; and a grandson, Robert Wesley Blankenship.
Mr. Ross is survived by his loving wife of 51 and a half years, Elizabeth Jayne Boyken Ross; his son, David F. Ross; his daughters, Andrea C. Ross, Vanessa Jill (Joe) Hobbs, Libby (Ray) Purvis, Kelly S. (Larry) Kohler, Jennifer (Mark) McCourt, Cori (Chad) Zaring and Leslie S. Ross. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ross, Morgan Higdon, Taylor Hobbs, Carrington Hobbs, Ashley (Jennifer Cope) Becker, Ben Purvis, Brad Purvis, Allen Purvis, Dale (Lydia) Kohler, Paul Kohler, Emily Kohler, Will Kohler, Rebecca Kohler, Olivia Kohler, Delaney McCourt, Conner McCourt, Josh McCourt, Caroline Zaring and Abby Zaring. He is further survived by his great-grandchildren, Audrey Kohler, Kael Hobbs and Reagan Higdon; a sister, Anne (Richard) Dulaney of Florida; a brother, Harold (Barbara) Ross of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Doris Ross of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hodgenville United Methodist Church with Brother Carlton Puryear and the Rev. Bob Howell officiating. Burial follows in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
