Democratic Woman’s Club has March meeting

The Hardin County Democratic Woman’s Club met on March 8 at the Nolin RECC building on Ring Road.  President Debbie Donnelly presided over the meeting. The following dignitaries were introduced: Hardin County Attorney Jenny Oldham, Hardin County Jailer Danny Allen, Hardin County Circuit Clerk Loretta Crady, PVA Danny Hutcherson, Chad Aull, former magistrate Tom Jaggers, former commissioner Bill Brandenburg, former Hardin County Judge Executive Glen Dalton, former PVA Teri Bennett; Bev Rickey, president of the NHCDWC- and her treasurer Carolyn Shelman, Vice-chair of the Hardin Co. Democratic Executive Committee Sherry Kelly and her husband Jim; Jo Nell Lee wife of Rep. Jimmie Lee, and former state policeman Corby Powers.

The guest speaker for the evening was Chad Aull, political director of the Kentucky Democratic Party. Chad is a native of Daviess County and attended WKU. He has been involved in several aspects of the Democratic Party including serving as president of the Kentucky Young Democrats. He talked about the past election and the upcoming governor’s race. President Donnelly presented Chad a token of the club’s appreciation.

Door prizes were donated by Teri Bennett, Debbie Donnelly, Samantha Mitchell, Jamie Meadows, Sharon Bush and Lou Ann Allen. The prizes were won by Jim Kelly, William Blair, Loretta Crady, Bill Brandenburg and Sharon Bush.

The next meeting monthly meeting will be back on a Monday, April 4. The guest speakers will be Lisa French and Adam Edelen, Democratic candidate for State Auditor. For more information contact Debbie Donnelly 765-5613.
