Disabled American Veterans Chapter 003 presents members with awards for 2008

At its May membership meeting, DAV Chapter 003 Commander Gary Rice presented two awards to its members. Ron Chasteen was presented the award for Volunteer of the Year for his service as Benevolence Committee Chairman and Chapter Service Officer. Ralph Porter was presented an award for his continued outstanding service to DAV Chapter 003. Sadly, Porter passed away shortly after receiving his award.

In June, Gary Rice presented DAV State Service Officer Dave Jarrett with the Veteran of the Year award. Rice recognized Jarrett for his service work helping veterans and their dependents with VA claims and benefits, his work on legislative issues, and for providing continued service to publicize DAV Chapter 003 events and news.
