Dohns celebrate 50th anniversary

Frederick Lewis and Nannie Berry Dohn of Rineyville celebrated their 50th anniversary May 4, 2012.


They were married May 4, 1962, at New Salem Baptist Church in Vine Grove by the Rev. William R. Smith. Maid of honor was Betty Berry Miller, sister of the bride, and best man was Dr. Roger Goodwin, cousin of the groom.

Mr. Dohn, the son of the late Anna Schlatter and Frederick Edward Dohn, has worked as a farmer all his life. He now enjoys planting and taking care of his garden and working jigsaw puzzles and he volunteers at his church. He also loves spending time with his family.

Mrs. Dohn, the daughter of Willie and Ruby Sherrard Berry of Rineyville, is a homemaker. She loves working in her flower garden, researching her family tree and volunteers at her church and the Ancestral Trails Historical Society. She also loves spending time with her family.

They have two sons, Edward William Dohn of Rineyville and Joseph Frederick Dohn of Hogenville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, they took a trip to St. Augustine, Fla., with their sons and daughters-in-law.
