Dorothy Crump Bale Duffy, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Kensington Manor Nursing Home in Elizabethtown.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, a former member of Beechwood Baptist Church in Louisville and was retired from Citizens Fidelity Bank in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Arvin Bale and Frank Garvin Duffy; her parents, Claude and Lizzie Crump; a son, Kenneth G. Bale; an infant daughter, Janice M. Bale; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Berger; a brother, Marvin Crump; and a sister, Magdaline Wright.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Graber of Magnolia and Edna Berger (Charles) Hall of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren, Georgia Krampien of Chicago, William A. (Jill) Graber of Grand Rapids, Mich., Teresa Graber-Zito of Tiffin, Ohio, Todd (Cindy) Berger, Sherry (J.T.) McAdams, Troy (Laura) Berger and Trevor (Michelle) Berger, all of Elizabethtown, and Shanna (Mike) Rucker of Louisville; a daughter-in-law, Margo Bale of Bowling Green; five sisters, Alviene Hines, Dixie Brooks, Virginia Goff, Edna Scott and Herschel Miller; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral was Thursday, April 12, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Charles Darland officiating. Burial was in Aetna Grove Church Cemetery.
