E’town nature park design wrapping up

Design of the Elizabethtown Nature Park is being finalized and Planning Director Ed Poppe expects a projected cost will be given to the council in time for budget talks next month.

Poppe said the city is likely to include money for the park in the next budget cycle, which begins July 1. If so, he said it is possible the city could take the project to bid by fall or spring of next year.

The city hired CMW Inc. of Lexington in September to conduct the design work at just under $100,000.
