Lucas Pepper, a local Boy Scout, recently presented his Eagle Scout project to the Warm Blessings Soup Kitchen Board of Directors. The project involves growing fresh vegetable for the kitchen. This season, Pepper intends to grow an assortment of vegetables including green beans, tomatoes, yellow squash, cucumbers, corn and okra which he will donate to the program. Because of Pepper’s experience and passion for farming and being a member of the Kentucky Proud farming initiative the Board agreed to accept his proposal.
