East Hardin High School in Glendale opened its doors in 1962 with the first graduating class in 1963. Students came from Lincoln Trail, Sonora, Upton, Rineyville and Glendale to consolidate into a new high school. East Hardin served as a high school for 27 years with the last graduating class in 1990. A new high school, Central Hardin, was opened for the class of 1991 and East Hardin became a middle school.
