An Eastview man was arrested and faces 16 charges after leading police on a brief pursuit Sunday night.

Kentucky State Police troopers arrested Justin S. Gibson, 29, on Hawkins Drive in Elizabethtown following a pursuit that began around mile-marker 91 on Interstate 65 after troopers responded to a possible hit-and-run, according to a news release.

Gibson was charged with driving under the influence, second offense — aggravated; resisting arrest; menacing; failure to produce an insurance card; second-degree disorderly conduct; third-degree terroristic threatening; third-degree criminal mischief; speeding – 26 mph or more over; leaving the scene of an accident; first-degree wanton endangerment – motor vehicle; failure to or improper signal; disregarding a stop sign; driving too fast for conditions; reckless driving; first-degree fleeing or evading police – motor vehicle; and failure to wear a seat belt.

Gibson is lodged at Hardin County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.
