Area educators agree with colleagues across the state who are stressing the importance of providing more money for education.
All superintendents and a staff member from each district throughout the state were invited to join the Kentucky Education Association in a news conference Wednesday morning.
The conference’s aim: Helping convince state legislators and Gov. Steve Beshear there is an urgent need for school funding. Educators encouraged officials to reverse four years of state cuts to services they say support teaching and learning in public schools.
