EIS to add 20 minutes to school day next year

Elizabethtown Independent Schools’ students and parents can expect adjustments to school days next year.
The EIS board voted to add 20 minutes to the school day for the 2011-2012 school year at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night. The board also approved a school calendar for next year, which includes early dismissal days to give teachers extra time to collaborate with lesson plans.
