The Elizabethtown Independent Schools board has moved forward with the district’s middle school pool renovation.
The EIS board selected McNutt Construction as the company to renovate the T.K. Stone Middle School pool. The board made the selection at its Tuesday night meeting where it also made minor changes to construction documents for that project as well as the construction of the athletic com-plex.
McNutt was the low bidder of the eight companies who bid to work on the renovation. The company’s bid was about $2.8 million.
The board also voted to amend the construction document for the project to reflect information received through the bidding process. Now that the project has been bid, the total estimated cost for the project is about $3.3 million, which is about $193,000 more than initially estimated.
A figure needed to be updated on the athletic complex construction document as well. The total cost of that project was amended from about $3.76 million to approximately $3.74 million.
