EIS Board approves athletic hall of fame

Past athletes and coaches in the Elizabethtown Independent Schools system soon will be honored through a new district hall of fame.

EIS board approved creating an athletic hall of fame at their board meeting Monday, per a suggestion of community member Duke Burnett. Burnett has gathered several Elizabethtown High School graduates to serve on a committee to get the project started.
