Work on construction projects in the Elizabethtown Independent Schools district now can begin.
The EIS board voted last week to approve construction and financial plans for a preschool and kindergarten center as well as Helmwood Heights Elementary School’s renovation.
The projects’ price tag runs about $15.5 million. Construction costs make up about $10.9 million of that figure, with the preschool and kindergarten center’s construction cost set at $5.4 million and Helmwood Heights’ construction cost set at $5.5 million.
