Elizabethtown to extend gas line to airport

Elizabethtown plans to extend its gas line to Addington Field Elizabethtown Regional Airport, which only has access to propane.

Mayor Tim Walker told Elizabethtown City Council on Monday the extension will cost around $4,800. Airport officials have agreed to pay for materials and reimburse the city for the costs, Walker said. In response, the city has agreed to cover labor by installing the line.

Walker said the city likely will need to perform touch-up and shoulder work once the line is finished.
