An Elizabethtown native has made it into the spotlight by being nominated for a Tony Award.
Darron West, an alumni of Youth Theater of Hardin County and supporter of the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center, received a nomination for Best Sound Design of a Play. The nomination comes for his work on the play “Peter and the Starcatcher.”
“Peter and the Starcatcher” tells the story of how Peter Pan became “the boy who would not grow up.” The play is nominated for nine Tony Awards.
The Tony Awards are presented and broadcast live at 8 p.m June 10 on CBS.
