Elizabethtown Woman's club has first meeting of 2008-09 year

 Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown held its first meeting of the 2008-09 year on Sept. 5 at the Brown-Pusey House.

President Diane Willis introduced John Lay, who presented the program on genealogy of Lincoln families leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s family.

The Woman’s Club will be involved in several activities in the next two months. Rose Carter reminded the group of the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk at 9 a.m., Sept. 27 at Freeman Lake Park. 

Willis presented a certificate of appreciation to Twylane Van Lahr, Director of the brown-Pusey House. The club will be supporting the Murder Mystery “Who’s Killing Time?”

First Vice-President Martiza Johnson reported on the progress for the Harvest Breakfast, Oct. 18, at Elizabethtown High School Commons Area. This is the clubs’ major fund-raiser for the year.
