Free events celebrating Abraham Lincoln’s 207th birthday begins with annual tradition of placing a wreath at the symbolic birth cabin in the park’s Memorial Building, followed at 10:30 a.m. by the unveiling of a new, temporary exhibit in honor of the park’s centennial anniversary featuring the ceremonial trowel used by President Theodore Roosevelt when he dedicated the laying of the Memorial Building’s cornerstone in 1909.
