EPD accepting applications for Citizens Police Academy

Elizabethtown Police Department is accepting applications for its next Citizens Police Academy.

The academy runs from Feb. 25 through April 1 and is held at the department's headquarters at 300 S. Mulberry St. Participants meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each Monday.

According to a news release, the Citizens Police Academy includes a ride-along with an officer and examines at crime in Elizabethtown and operations within the police department.

Applications must be submitted by Feb. 20.
