CADIZ — An Elizabethtown woman, no stranger to pack animals, died Tuesday afternoon after being thrown from a large mule she was riding along an equestrian trail at Land Between the Lakes.
Rhonda A. Boyd-Hogan, a 54-year-old rural mail carrier and partner in a stable outside Elizabethtown, died while doing what she loved.
Thrown from the mule, Hogan landed on a gravel-covered trail and suffered a head injury.
