Ethel Aline Kaster Carter, 90, of Hodgenville, formerly of Hardin County, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a member of Younger’s Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “W.H.” Carter; three sisters, Zelma Armes, Fern Harned and Clara Mae Hawkins; two brothers, Ellis Kaster and Elbert Kaster; and her parents, Lee and Florence Dee Edlin Kaster.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Reynolds, Sue Bailey and Pat (David) Nichols, all of Hodgenville, and Jean (Roy) Haycraft of Elizabethtown; four sons, Harold (Wanda) Carter of Glendale, Homer (Judy) Carter and Ronnie (Shirley) Carter, both of Elizabethtown, and Larry (Dee) Carter of Smith’s Grove; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, with the Rev. Herb Williams and Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Burial was in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
