Elizabethtown City Council voted Monday to hold property tax rates stable and approved a new limit on change orders for secondary lighting at the Elizabethtown Sports Park.
Elizabethtown city officials approved tax rates for real and personal property at 11.6 cents per $100 of assessed value. That rate applies to motor vehicles and watercraft. The rate has remained unchanged for the last several years.
Finance Director Steve Park has said income from the rate will be slightly below budget, but he believes the city can easily recoup the money through the year.
