E'town man accepts plea deal in daughter's death

An Elizabethtown man could serve 20 years in prison after accepting a plea deal on charges he killed his infant daughter.

Barry W. Williams Jr., 21, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of murder  in Hardin Circuit Court in front of Judge Ken Howard. As part of the deal, Williams will serve 20 years for the crime and becomes eligible for parole consideration after serving 85 percent of the sentence.

Williams admitted in court to shaking Aleyah Noelle Williams, 6 months, in February. She died at Kosair Children's Hospital from her injuries.

Formal sentencing is Jan. 21.
