An Elizabethtown man was charged Saturday in the murder of a 20-year-old man.
Jamie B. Wagers, 24, was arrested by Kentucky State Police after they received a call at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday of an incident at 130 Magers Drive.
Christian Fernando Higdon, 20, of Clarkson, was pronounced dead by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office, Deputy Coroner Kenneth Spangenberger said. Cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
KSP spokesman Norman Chaffins couldn’t release details of the events that occurred. Chaffins said Higdon left the residence at Magers Drive and died elsewhere.
Spangenberger said Higdon’s body would be taken to the state medical examiner’s office this morning. The case is under investigation by KSP and the coroner’s office.
Wagers is set to be arraigned Monday in Hardin District Court. No bond was set as of Saturday evening.
