An Elizabethtown man was released from the Hardin County jail Monday after spending two days behind bars on charges stemming from an indecent exposure incident at Waffle House in Elizabethtown.

Eric R. Armes, 45, was jailed Friday and released Monday morning. He was arrested Friday on a warrant for the indecent exposure charge. He was charged also with fleeing police, disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication.

According to police, restaurant employees phoned police shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 to report a man masturbating on a sidewalk in front of the restaurant.

EPD spokesman Virgil Willoughby said police arriving at the scene found Armes sitting on a milk crate with his hands down the front of his shorts. Police said the man darted off as police went to talk to a waitress, but was found after a short foot pursuit.
