Extension Office holds sewing camps

By The Staff

Two camps were held for 10-14 year-olds at the Hardin County Cooperative Extension Office during July, beginning and advanced, and both groups made a quilt. Each camper made one or more blocks. The blocks were then assembled into quilt tops and donated to the Stitchers Quilt Guild. The tops will be quilted and included in the guild’s December 2008 donation to the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Knox. Both completed quilts will be featured in the “Patriotic Quilts” display at the 2008 Heart of Kentucky Quilt Show, Sept. 19-20, at Pritchard Community Center.  Pictured are participants in the Summer Beginner Sewing Camp.
