Faces and Places: Game faces

Basketball season is over for area high schools as the six local teams were elimenated from 5th Region Tournament action. On the boys’ side, Elizabethtown, John Hardin and LaRue County high schools and for the girls’, LaRue County, North Hardin and Elizabethtown high schools went to 5th Region tournaments.

Although players love to win and hate to lose, coaches take losses as hard, if not harder, than players. A coach’s mind is constantly looking ahead three plays down the court, analyzing defensive and offensive moves, and changing plans quickly in a few seconds.

As games progress, coaches’ faces begin to show the reality of the game. Featured is a collection of six coaches’ faces displaying their feelings as their teams were defeated.
