In all the fun and festivities of the Heartland Music Festival, rides for the kids provide smiles, thrills and a dizzying good time.
Geno Rides will provide the amusement rides for the festival for the 15th year. Popular rides from the past are returning for this year’s festivities.
On Friday, there will be limited free rides available for kids while the concert is rockin’ farther down the lake.
Rides will be available from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday. The free rides are for smaller children and include the merry-go-round, boats, Titanic slide, kids' Ferris wheel, kiddie swings, car ride, berry-go-round and sky fire.
Rides for older children, such the scrambler, tempest, swinger and loop-o-plane, will have a ticket cost to ride. These rides for Friday and all rides during the festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday will cost $1 per ticket or you can purchase 22 tickets for $20.
To access the rides on Friday festival-goers need to enter the park at the Lakeshore Plaza entrance. The Blue Heron Way entrance is for concert patrons only.
