Planners expect a large crowd at Tuesday’s Farm-City Day, partly because of having the commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture as the guest speaker.
Doug Shepherd, county Extension agent for agriculture and natural resources, said organizers approached Commissioner James Comer within a week of his election before his schedule could fill up.
“I’m very impressed with him and what he’s done with the department,” Shepherd said.
