Farm lease of HCS elementary land to end soon

-A A +A

Next step is selection of architect for Cecilia Valley

By Kelly Cantrall

Cecilia is one step closer to becoming the home of a new Hardin County Schools elementary school.

The process of building a replacement for Howevalley Elementary School begins soon as a lease agreement between HCS and a Cecilia farmer ends Dec. 31.

The new building, to be called Cecilia Valley Elementary School, will be constructed off Ky. 86. HCS purchased the property from Bill Cecil in September 2012. The land was leased by Cecil to David Miller for farming and HCS officials held the lease once the district owned the land.
