Police find meth lab in the residence

By Jeff D'Alessio

An early morning fire damaged a Radcliff home Wednesday and investigators later in the day were trying to pinpoint the cause.

Police say they found a meth lab in the residence on Vine Street. The Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force was called to the scene as well as fire departments from Radcliff and Vine Grove.

Radcliff Police spokesman Bryce Shumate said while the home appeared to be lived in, nobody was home when fire trucks arrived on the scene.

“When the call first came in we were told that two or three people were trapped in the home,” Shumate said. “When we got there, not only was there nobody in the house but there was nobody even around the house.”

Shumate said there were home furnishings in the residence.
The investigation is ongoing.
