Firefighters organize yard sale to help 'brother'

Firefighters throughout Hardin County are organizing a community event to support the family of one of their own.

Radcliff firefighter Leroy Lewis lost his son and saw his wife badly injured after both were ejected from their car, police said.

Leroy Lewis’ son, Joseph Calvin Lewis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was killed after the 2002 Chevy Blazer his mother was driving left the south side of Ky. 228 near Battletown and overturned.
