HARDIN COUNTY — Fiscal Court members on Tuesday will hear the first reading of Judge-Executive Harry Berry’s proposed 2008-09 budget, which has drawn a few requests for changes.
For one thing, Commissioner Bill Brandenburg wants to remove from the budget a $12.5 million figure Berry calls a “placeholder” for new government offices. Brandenburg opposes Berry’s wish to consolidate county agencies away from downtown.
