On some days I can’t remember what I did 10 minutes earlier. Other times, a memory from decades ago floods back to me triggered by only a song, scent or word.
Recently, I was talking with someone about July 4th activities, and I immediately thought of Fort Knox. Why Fort Knox? Because as a kid — and even into adulthood — I used to go to the annual carnival held on post.
