Frank G. Curran, 87, of Elizabethtown, died Thurs-day, March 8, 2012, at Kensington Manor.
A native of Pensacola, Fla., he was a member of Northside Baptist Church and Morrison Lodge No. 76 F&AM. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He served for 26 years in two branches of the military, the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He retired in 1986 after 20 years of civil service at Fort Knox.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Seay Curran; his parents; Charles Gibbs Curran and Lucy Gardner Kennedy Curran; and two brothers, Fred G. Curran and Charles G. Curran.
He is survived by a daughter, Virginia Curran Coffey of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Leslie Coffey and her fiancé, Jeremy Laughrun of Atlanta, and Anthony Coffey of Louisville; and a cousin, Antoinette Stahl of Morgantown.
The funeral was Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial with military honors was in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
