The holiday season means the tricky task of shopping for just the right gift for loved ones and friends.
If the recipient is an older adult, the task can be trickier still.
“It’s hard because they’re not necessarily going to like what we like,” Amanda Hodgens, director of the Senior Companion Program, said.
Perfumes, colognes and lotions generally are not well-received, she said.
“A lot of them turn away from that,” Hodgens said.
Many older adults don’t want the latest technology either, she said.
