Girl Scout Cookies are here

-A A +A

Kentuckiana Girl Scouts now are selling cookies to the general public. Girls are out taking orders from individual customers and will set up  cookie booths beginning Feb. 26.
Cookies available this year include the classic Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Lemon Chalet Crèmes and Dulce de Leche cookies. The Thank U Berry Munch cookie, last season’s hit flavor, will return for a second year. All Girl Scout cookies contain zero trans fats per serving.
During the 2011 cookie season, Girl Scouts will learn firsthand the ins and outs of running their own cookie business, even “branding” their enterprise for maximum impact. Visit www.kyanags. org for a mobile app that will be available for smart phone users to locate nearby Girl Scout Cookie booths.
The Girl Scout Cookie program is more than a fundraiser. It’s a fun way for girls of all ages to earn the money that fuels their dreams. And it’s a powerful, hands-on leadership and entrepreneurial program where girls learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Help the Girl Scouts reach their 2011 goal of 2.2 million boxes.
