Girl Scouts to collect for domestic violence shelters

Area Girl Scouts will participate Saturday in a statewide effort to help victims of domestic violence.

Scouts will be stationed outside Kroger stores from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with lists of items needed for domestic violence safe places and bins in which shoppers can make donations.

The items will be donated to safe places in the areas where they were collected.
